FARR, Francis L. – of Clio, age 91, died on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at his residence with family by his side. Private graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Clio. A Celebration of Francis’ Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Francis was born June 6, 1928 in Clio, Michigan to the late Bela and Ethel (Wymer) Farr. He graduated from Clio High School in 1946 and later attended Flint Junior College. Mr. Farr enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict in October of 1948, and was honorably discharged on October 24, 1952. Francis married the love of his life, Bethany, on October 24, 1952. He and Bethany had nine daughters before finally having their first and only son. Bethany preceded him in death on April 7, 2008. Francis enjoyed traveling with his wife, camping and sports, especially - football and baseball. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are: Children: Dianna Farr, Kathleen (Don) Frederick, Sharon Easterling, Connie (Scott) McCallum, Yvonne (Doug) Nielson, Denise (Rick) Loga, Brenda Fields, Barbara VanAlst, Rene (Rodney) Skank, and Ronald Farr; 45 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; Siblings: Merton Farr, Elwin Farr, Eileen Wiederhold, Lulabell Collings, Donnabell Morre; Many nieces and nephews. Francis was also preceded in death by: Grandson, Justin Michael Hiltz; Great grandson, Gage Collier; Son in law, Edward Harrison; Siblings: Leslie Farr, Beullah Michael, Dorothy Lerch, Wayne Farr, Rex Farr, and Ruth Wardosky. Morris since 1995 coming from Greenbush. Dorothy married Gustave Lerche, October 29, 1932 in Genesee County. She was a member of the Mayfair Bible Church in Flushing. Dorothy was employed with Smith Bridgmans for 16 years before retiring.
