Mrs. Damm was a graduate of Northwestern University and a member of First Congregational Church, Y.M.C.A., PEO and the Muskegon Woman's Club. Clarence Farr, 67, Cottage Grove, Dies

Cottage Grove -- Clarence A. Farr, 67, a well-known businessman and former fire chief here, died Sunday [June 14, 1964] in a Madison hospital.
Mr. Farr was an electrician and a plumber in Cottage Grove. He also was associated with the Witte-Farr-Frost Automobile agency for 50 years.
A charter member of the Cottage Grove fore department, Mr. Farr served as the department's first fire chief and held the position for 30 years. He was a member of the Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Anne; three daughters, Mrs. Edmund Sorum, Cottage Grove; Mrs. Stanley Miller, McFarland, and Mrs. Danny Cox, Kansas City, Kans.; a brother, Earl, Cottage Grove; a sister, Mrs. Nell Cone, Wauconda, Ill; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Madison survivors include a sister, Mrs. Wilfred Moe, 1239 Jennifer st.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, Cottage Grove, with the Rev. John R. Dirksen officiating. Burial will be in the Cottage Grove cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight at the Gunderson funeral home, 5203 Monona dr., Madison, and from 12 noon Tuesday to 2 p.m. at the Bryn Mawr Church.

She was born March 24, 1900, in Deerfield, to Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Duckert. She married Clarence A. Farr on October 22, 1917, who was an associate with Witte, Korfmacher and Farr Hardware Co. in Cottage Grove. She was a lifelong member of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, a member of the former Ladies Aid Society. She was known for her generosity towards family, friends, and neighbors. She is survived by three daughters, Regina (Edmund) Sorum, of Cottage Grove, Muriel (Stanley) Miller of McFarland, Alice (Danny) Cox of Overland Park, Kansas; ten grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by six half-sisters; Mayme Soule of Hammond, Wisconsin, Minnie Aune of Hayward, Lucille Oswald of Madison, Grace Halverson of Rio, Kate Doornink of Baldwin, and Shirley Klein of Hammond, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Farr; a son Robert; and a sister Ruth. Funeral services will be held at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, 229 North Main Street, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 1993, with the Reverend E. Ellwood Carey officiating. Burial in Cottage Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 1993, at Gunderson Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Drive. COTTAGE GROVE—Funeral services for Bobby Farr, four, who died Friday shortly after being struck by an automobile, were, held Sunday afternoon from his home and at the Presbyterian church, the Rev. A. U. Ziechel officiating.. Interment was in the Cottage Grove cemetery. Pallbearers were four boy friends, Donald Duckert, Alvin Derke, Rodney Johnson and Harold Hartwig. Besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Farr, he is survived by two sisters. Regina and Muriel.
