Miriam Farr

Mrs. Miriam Rowbotham Farr, 53, 540 8th St, died yesterday in the Dee hospital after a short illness.

Mrs. Farr was a lifelong resident of Ogden. She had been an active member of the L. D. S. 8th ward, serving as secretary of the Primary association and Relief society and as teacher in the Y. W. M. I. A. and Sunday school. She was also a visiting teacher in - the Relief society.

On Oct. 15, 1919, she was married to J. Roland Farr in the L. D. S. Salt Lake temple.

She was born July 19, 1898, in Ogden, a daughter of Richard and Alice Stillwell Rowbotham.

Surviving are her husband, thee sons, Norman R., Richard F. and Wendell A. Farr. Ogden: three grandchildren, two brothers and four sisters, Alvin and Bryan Rowbotham, Los Angeles; Mrs. Jeffery (Irene) Harper. Pleasant View; Mrs. Vernon W. (Celia) Taylor, Ogden: Mrs. James (Edith) Haymes, Tracy. Calif., and Mrs. Alex F. (Cassia) Wilson, Edmonston, Md.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p. m. at Lindquist and Sons Colonial funeral chapel, 3408 Washington Blvd. Bishop Elton W. Wardle of the L.D.S. 8th ward officiating.

Friends may call at the mortuary tomorrow from 6 to 9 P. M. and Saturday prior to funeral services. Burial will be in Washington Heights Memorial park.

He was born April 26, 1932 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Roland and Mariam Farr. He married Andrea Bell, March 7, 1958 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. For most of their married life they lived in Bountiful. He retired from Zions Bank. Served in the U.S. Navy and was a former member of the Bountiful Lyons and Kiwanis Clubs. He enjoyed photography and wild life. He loved his grandchildren. They brought him great joy.
He is survived by his wife, Andrea; three sons, Mark, Shaun (Kristi), Jason (Trenna); nine grandchildren; and brother Norman. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and brother Richard.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 24, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the Centerville 3rd Ward Chapel, 900 South 400 East, Centerville, Utah.
