Mildred Levette Lynn Young, age 94, of Indianapolis, died Feb. 14, 2011. She was born on May 8, 1916 in Linton, Ind.

Mildred was a breakfast host at Baymont Inn and the Hampton Inn. Mildred was a waitress at the Branding Iron Restaurant for 20 years.

Survivors include sons, Jerry L. Farr (Shirley), William F. Farr (Shirley), John T. Farr; daughters, Sue Dennemann, Darlene Allen; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Maggie Lynn; brothers, Hullie, Raymond and Harvey Lynn; sisters, Juanita Driver, Edith Richardson and Eva Crider, Marie Okey; son, James Allen; husbands, Ben Farr, Howard Allen and Jack Young.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011 at Hendryx Mortuary, 11636 E. Washington Street. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 at Mortuary. Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery.

Patricia R. Farr, 81, of Deerfield, passed away November 22, 2013 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, after a short illness.

She was born April 9, 1932, in Wellesley Island, NY, the daughter of Glen and Eva Eager Heath. Patricia married Clifford J. Farr in 1952, in Utica. He died in 1983. Mrs. Farr was retired from Holland Patent School District. 

Pat loved visiting the Thousand Islands Park, where she grew up. She also loved reading, painting and bragging about all of her relatives, many of whom knew her as "Aunt Pat." She was a loving mother and grandmother and was very loved by her sons and granddaughter.

FLOYD — Ralph L. Rickmyer, 86, died October 2, 2011, with his family at his side. He was born October 28, 1934, to Frank L. and Edna Ames Rickmyer. Ralph attended Holland Patent Central School and graduated with his class in 1942.

On January 20, 1951 he married Doris Farr and together they were blessed with three wonderful children, Bruce (Deb) Rickmyer, Mark Rickmyer (Robin Lester) and Diane (Jim) Morisey, two grandchildren Erin and Josh Bustos.

His wife, children and grandchildren survive Ralph, along with his sister Shirley Hughes, sister-in-law Marge Rickmyer, several nieces and nephews, and Randy Ramsey who was like a son. Ralph is pre-deceased by his parents and brother, Warren.

Being a farmer his entire life, Ralph became involved in many agricultural associations and programs. In 2002 the Rickmyer Farm which has been in the same family for over 100 years, was honored as a Century Farm by the New York State Agricultural Society. Ralph was also involved in the formation of the Floyd Fire District and served as treasurer for 30 years, was a charter member and chaplain of Floyd Volunteer Fire Department. In 1986 he received the Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Moulton award for outstanding citizen of the Town of Floyd.

Ralph was a member of the Floyd United Methodist Church. One accomplishment he was especially proud of was the lighted cross on the front of the church that he designed and built as a memorial for his mother, Edna Rickmyer, who was a lifetime member of the church.

Ralph and Doris enjoyed traveling, first by car with all the kids and later by tour bus.
