Karen Farr Keller 1938 ~ 2011 CLINTON - Our precious, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Karen Farr Keller, 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 16, 2011.She was born July 5, 1938 in Logan, Utah to Aaron Freemen and Edith Johnson Farr. Karen grew up in Logan, Utah and Preston, Idaho moving to Ogden in 1952. She was a happy friendly child, who made friends easily. She attended school in both Utah and Idaho graduating from Ben Lomond High School in 1956. She also attended Weber State College. She married Ronald L. Keller, they later divorced. She retired from HAFB having held many important positions. She loved her work and took great pride in working hard and a job well done. Upon retiring in 1987, she began working for her son at KK Mechanical as the office manager continuing to work there until her passing. Karen enjoyed gardening, reading and movies, but mostly she loved talking with friends and family. Many good times were spent sitting around the table talking. She had a great sense of humor. We will miss her advice and counsel. Karen was a member of the Clinton 19th Ward where she served as librarian. She loved her ward family, and they loved her. Karen had a strong testimony of the Gospel and loved serving in the Temple. She is survived by her three sons, R. Kim (Cindy) Keller, Brian L. (Liz) Keller, R. Bart (Bonnie) Keller, 11 grandchildren, nine great-grand-children, two brothers, Aaron V. (Valanne) Farr, Hal J. (Paula) Farr, two sisters, Terry Roane (Robert) Stephenson and Diane Carruth. She was preceded in death by her parents, her niece and nephew, Melissa and Paul Carruth. From your Boys, We may not have always said it, but we hope you know it's true, the men we are today is only because of you. Funeral services will be held Monday May 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South, with Bishop R. Douglas Savage, presiding. The family will meet with friends on Sunday from 6 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment will at the Logan Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Huntsman's Cancer Institute, 1950 Circle of Hope Dr., SLC, UT 84112. On this 25th day of Sept., 1820, personally appeared Samuel Hutchinson, aged sixty-one years, a resident of Cavendish.... Declarant states he enlisted at Lunenburg (Mass.) in the month of January, in the year, 1777, for three years. [In the Continental Army pay accounts for service from 27 Feb 1777 - 31 Dec. 1779] He served in Capt. Sylvanus Smith's Company in the 15th Massachusetts Regiment under command of Colonel Timothy Bigelow [he was on the muster roll for Jan-Aug., 1777, dated Van Schaick's Island and sworn to in Camp at Stillwater; also, muster roll for Nov.,1777, sworn to at Camp near Gulf; reported sick at Morristown; also, muster roll for Dec., 1777, dated Camp Valley Forge; reported sick at Morristown; also, return dated 2 Feb. 1778, residence given as Lunenburg, mustered by Middlesex Co. Muster Master; also, muster rolls for Jan-May, 1778 dated Valley Forge; also, muster roll for June 1778, dated Camp Greenwich; also muster roll for July and Aug., 1778, dated Camp Providence, reported on bullock guard; also muster roll for Sept., 1778, dated Camp at Providence; report on State Store guard; also muster rolls for Oct 1778- June, 1779, dated Providence, reported on command at Warwick in June, 1779; also, muster roll for July, 1779, reported on command at "pound Ridge"; also, muster roll for Aug., 1779, dated Camp at Salem; reported transferred to Light Infantry Company, 1 Sept., 1779] , and a few days before he had completed his three year's service, he was taken prisoner at the Battle of White Plains in the State of New York, and was detained a prisoner by the enemy in the City of New York for eleven months and eleven days, when he was exchanged and received an honorable discharge and left the Army the last of November, 1780. During said service he was in the Battle of Monmouth and in one of the battles with the enemy under Burgoyne near Saratoga. He was discharged from service at West Point in the State of N.Y. and that he made his original Declaration on 11 April, 1818 (he was then 58 years old) and has received a pension Certificate No. 10791. He owes the following debts:
