“Jackson S. Hyer
Takes For His Bride
Miss Alma Mae Farr
"Under a floral arch in a setting of garden flowers, Miss Alma Mae Farr, daushter of Mr. and Mrs. Willis V. Farr of 83 North Union street, exchanged her marriage vows with Jackson Scott Hyer of Roseland, N. J., yesterday afternoon, the wedding taking place at the residence of the bride's parents.

"The marriage ceremony was performed by the Rev. David Reid, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church, at 2 o'clock, E. S. T., as the bridal party stood under a garden arch in the bay window of the living room. On either side of the arch were baskets of garden flowers, a color scheme of pink and white predoniinating.

“The bride was attractively atired in a gown of white satin with a yoke and Queen Anne collar of lace. Her long tulle veil, bordered in matching lace, was caught to a coronet of seed pearls with orange blossoms. The bride's bouquet was of Briarcliff roses showered with pink sweet peas.

“The matron of honor and only attendant of the bride was Mrs. John E. Farr of Westminster Station. Mrs. Farr, sister-in-law of the bride and sister of the bridegroom, wore a gown of hyacinth sheer with white costume accessories. She carried a bouquet of garden flowers.

“John E. Farr of Westminster Station served as best man for the bridegroom. The flower girl was little Miss Jacqueline Hyer of Westminster, daughter of the bridegroom. She was dressed in pink organdy and wore a wreath of pink sweet peas. The train bearer for the bride was Master Donald A. Hemenway, Jr., of Northfield, a nephew of the bride.

"The bridal marches were Flayed by Miss Arlene Bashaw.

“A reception was held at the home of the bride immediately following the wedding ceremony. The house was artistically decorated with ferns and garden flowers. A bridal luncheon was served at Oakledge Manor.

“Mr. and Mrs. Hyer will make their future home at 218 Eagle Rock avenue, Roseland, N. J.

“Mr. Hyer attended the Caldwell High school and Pennsylvania State College. He now holds a position with Borden Farm Products, Inc.

“His bride is a graduate of the Burlington High school in the class of 1932 and until her marriage has held a position with J. C. Penny Company.”

There followed a list of out-of-town guests which showed that by now John Farr was living in Westminster with his family and Donald and Mattie Hemenway were living in Northfield.
