After much researching of sources, I thought it best to give an overview of the lives of the individuals who are connected through multiple marriages and have chosen to base that overview on a time line.
Leona Charlotte Cheney, daughter of Frank Sylvester Cheney and Fannie Violette Rose Parshall, was born 23 May 1906 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Not finding any records to substantiate a marriage at this writing, she either wed or had a relationship with Vernon Moss, born in Oregon, with whom she had a son, James Arthur Moss, born 7 Mar 1922 in Grand Forks, and who was living with his grandmother, Fannie Cheney in the 1930 census.
Leona wed Emery E Farr about 4 Oct 1924 (license taken 15 Sep 1924 and marriage filed 4 Oct 1924) in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Emery, born Dec 1873 in Peoria, Illinois, son of Robert L Farr and Grace May Baker or Grace Amelia Emery, was 51 at the time of the marriage, 33 years her senior. He was a traveling salesman who had also lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Madison, Iowa. Their daughter Frances was born 29 Jan 1924 in Grand Forks. (Emery never remarried and died 14 Feb 1952 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.)
That marriage was short-lived (no divorce records found at this writing), and Leona wed Harry Herman Roberts Feuer, born 9 May 1893 in Wyanet, Illinois, on 20 Aug 1928 in Malta, Philips, Montana. From that union came three children, Robert Russell in 1930 in Lewiston, Perry Stanley in 1932 in Columbia Falls, and Richard Maurice in 1935 in Kalispell. The couple divorced 12 Jul 1954 in Helena, Montana. Harry’s parents were Christopher Rabe and Mary Stemsley from Germany. Harry’s siblings used the last name Roberts (similar in pronunciation to Rabeborn) but when Mary Rabe married Jacob Feurer, he adopted Harry, and Harry used both surnames through his adult life. (He died 13 Oct 1973 in Anaconda, Montana.)
Sometime after 1961 Leona married Perry Motley Morain, presumably in Montana (no marriage records found at time of writing). She passed way 12 Oct 1973 in Billings, Montana.
Perry, the son of Joseph W Morain, was born in Missouri in 1898. He married his first wife, Harriet Emma Turner, daughter of John  and Sarah Turner born 4 Jan 1890 in Bramley, on 12 Dec 1917 in Bramley, Leeds, Yorkshire, England, and their daughters were born in Missouri, Edith M in 1918 in Bowling Green and Patricia Allie in 1922 in Valley Park. That marriage dissolved before 1939.
His second marriage was to Joyce Cecelia Mohr on 7 Sep 1940 in Sidney, Richland, Montana. She was the daughter of Martin Oleson Peterson and Ellen Christine Erikson, born 12 Feb 1906 in Minot, North Dakota, and her first marriage was to Friedrich Wilhelm (Fredrick William) Mohr, my uncle. They divorced between 1932-1935, and she relocated to Montana.
Joyce wed again on 19 Aug 1951 to Henry O Church in Billings, Montana. On 25 June 1955 she married Perry a second time in Cody, Wyoming, but divorce came a few years later on 7 Nov 1961 in Columbus Montana. She passed away on 13 Apr 1996 in Butte, Montana.
Perry married twice more, first to Leona Charlotte Cheney (she divorced Harry Roberts in 1954 but Perry wed Joyce in 1955 so presumably they did not marry until after that divorce in 1961 – no records available at time of writing), and then to Ruby Alice Gage, born 18 Aug 1918 in Melrose, Cleburne, Arkansas, on 9 Dec 1974 In Polk, Florida. He died 17 Jul 1981 in Florida.
