Anthony "Tony" Elsworth Freeland, 69, of Hoopeston died at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at his home.

He was born Oct. 7, 1939 in Danville, the son of John Terrance and Amber Marie (Iliff) Freeland. He married Phyllis Joan Farr on June 24, 1961 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Danville. She survives.

Other survivors are his daughters, Laura (Larry) Sorce, Denise (Joe) Goodrum, Jeanine (Erich) Jenig and Judy (David) Wolfe; sons, John (Tricia) Freeland and Charles "Ed" (Bridget) Freeland; sisters, Mary Kay (Gene) Robinson and Elizabeth "Betty" (Bruce) Rattenbury; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Mr. Freeland owned and operated the Iliff House Bed and Breakfast. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Tony was a member of Toastmasters, 708 Board, and the Hoopeston Chamber of Commerce. He was also an honorary member of the Hoopeston American Legion, active in the Democratic Party and served on a drainage district in Vermilion County.

BRISTOL - Harvey Charles Far, 81, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 22, 2012. He was born on July 27, 1930, in Lincoln to Pauline and Harvey Farr. He married Eleanor R. Wyman on June 22, 1954. He joined the Air Force in 1950 and served in the Korean War. He graduated from the University of Vermont, class of 1958. He was a district sales manager for Nationwide Insurance until he retired. He is survived by his wife; his sons, Harvey C. Far, Nobel D. Far and Phillip E. Far; daughter Susan G. Bulkeley; 11 grandchildren; and two brothers, Paul Farr and Lawrence Farr. The funeral will be a private family service.
