John Barker was probably born in 1563 in Nayland, Suffolk, England and baptised there on April 30, 1563. His parents were John Barker and Margaret Maull or Mawle. He married Margaret Walter on June 29, 1585 at Stoke Nayland. ohn died in March of 1617 and was buried in the churchyard of St. James’ Church at Nayland on March 10, apparently without a will.
