Leonard Farr died at his home 1 1/2 miles southeast of Mirabile at 2 a.m. Thursday, June 7, of Bright's disease, aged 81 years, 1 month, 4 days.
Mr. Farr came to Caldwell county thirty-eight years ago from Allegheny county, New York, and has been a quiet, industrious citizen and had the confidence and esteem of all who knew him. He has been an invalid for several years and his neighbors have been very kind in ministering to his wants and caring for him, a kindness greatly appreciated by the wife and children who at this time desire to express their thanks for the same. Mr. Farr leaves a widow and eight children.
The funeral services were held at the home Friday and the remains were taken to Kingston for interment.

he funeral service for C. A. (Ott) Farr was held Sunday afternoon at the Houghton Funeral Home and was conducted by Rev. J. W. Ward. The burial was in Highland Cemetery.
Charles Austin Farr was born in Alleghany County, New York, August 12, 1852, and came to Missouri with his family in 1866, settling near Cowgill. He was married to Miss Martha I. Brown April 8, 1871. To this union five children were born, Lillie May, Charles A., Eva D., Mary F. and Leonard. There was also one step-daughter Ella. Of these children only two are living, Charlie and Leonard Farr. Three died while small and Mary F. passed away at the age of 16 years. 
There were five brothers and a sister, Mrs. Robert Long, Adelbert Farr of Kingston, Chalres and Will Farr of New York; Fred Farr of Hamilton and Floyd Farr of Montana, besides one half-sister and one half-brother. Of these, Alfred, Fred and Floyd, three grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Farr was converted at the Cottage Grove Baptist Church near Cowgill about 55 years ago, Rev. Arnold being pastor at that time.

Charles Austin Farr, the oldest child of Austin and Martha Farr, was born near Cowgill, Mo., April 30, 1874. Last Saturday evening, shortly after dark, he was found lying on the platform of the railroad station at Hamilton with a fractured skull. He never regained consciousness to tell how it happened. He was hurried to the Methodist hospital in St. Jospeh where he died shortly after at the age of 72 years 8 months and 4 days.
He was united in marriage to Cora Myrtle Wheat, Feb. 14, 1894. To this union, nine children where born. Those surviving are Mrs. Claud Berry of Polo, Raymond of Hamilton, Mrs. Henry Rowan and Charles of Cameron, Robert of Braymer and Don of the navy, stationed at New London, Conn. also a brother, Leonard of Hamilton, and 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Mr. Farr has spent his entire life on farms in Ray and Caldwell counties. A few years ago when his wife's health failed, they moved to Hamilton, where he has since resided.
His wife preceded him in death, April 18, 1945. Basil, who served in World War I, died in July, 1935, Zack was killed by a horse in January, 1921. 
Mr. Farr united with the Methodist Church at Kendall Chapel and was a faithful member while living in that community.
The funeral service was held at the Bethel Church, south of Polo, Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. James Heath. The body was laid to rest in the cemetery near the church under the direction of Brams. Pallbearers were J. T. Shelton, Eldon Hemry, Eldon Moss, Kenneth Moss, Roy Jackson and Johnny Wormsley.

Cora Myrtle Farr was born in Cole County, Illinois, March 29, 1876, and departed this life April 18, 1945, at Mercy hospital in St. Joseph at the age of 69 years. She was a daughter of Mrms. Basil Wheat.
She was united in marriage to Charles Austin Farr, Feb. 14, 1894. To this union were born nine children, three daughters and six sons: Mrs. Claud Berry of Polo, Mrs. Henry Rowan, Kansas City, Mrs. Paul Free, Cameron, Charles and Don, who are serving in the U. S. Navy overseas, Robert of Braymer, Raymond of Hamilton and Basil and Zack, who preceded her in death several years ago.
Mrs. Farr united with the Kendall Chapel Methodist Church early in life and lived a consistent christian life until called home.
She was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. She leaves to mourn her going away her husband; three duaghters; four sons; a stepmother, Mrs. Julia D. Wheat; two sisters, three half brothers, fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at the Bethel Church south of Polo, conducted by Rev. James Heath. Interment was made in the cemetery in the church yard.
